Josh Cohen, a young entrepreneur, came up with the idea of removing junk for a business at 21. After a conversation with a friend, who had earned $100 for hauling away a neighbor’s refrigerator, Josh realized this service was definitely needed.
In 2004, after returning from his studies in Austria, Josh set out with his homemade flyers and distributed them around the community, offering to haul away your items no longer needed. Soon his phone was ringing, and he quickly realized there was a demand for a reliable, professional, and, most importantly, eco-focused junk removal service.
Josh started hauling away items with his mother’s SUV and a trailer for bigger jobs. He then purchased a truck that helped him to expand his business. He serviced Fairfield County, Connecticut, then onto Westchester County, New York. He eventually replaced that truck with the unmistaken bright green dump trucks now recognized everywhere. In 2013, this successful business expanded and started franchises all over the county.
